Patchwerks, the modular synth retailer and event space at 4129 Stone Way N in Wallingford, permanently closed in July 2025. The store started as meetups in 2016, opened a small retail space off Eastlake, then moved to the larger Stone Way showroom. Its closing statement said, “It has been an honor to share our love of synthesizers, music, noise, and community with you all. Keep exploring and keep making sounds.”
Patchwerks was the only dedicated Eurorack and modular synth retailer in Seattle. They stocked modules, cases, power supplies, cables, drum machines, and MIDI controllers, and ran regular in-store events and workshops.
For new Eurorack stock, the nearest dedicated dealer is now Control Voltage in Portland. For used modular gear locally, Re-Animated Music in the U District occasionally stocks modules and synths.
Two Seattle-area manufacturers are worth knowing for direct purchases. After Later Audio in Beacon Hill builds original Eurorack modules and cases — local orders ship fast and the builder is reachable for questions. Puget Audio in Belltown makes circuit-modeled VST plugins and Eurorack hardware. Both are worth contacting directly if you want to hear something before buying.
