Modbang, the monthly no-laptop hardware electronic music event at 4Bs Tavern in Ballard, began livestreaming its shows on YouTube in 2025. The stream runs alongside the in-person event, giving the hardware electronic music community outside Seattle access to the same lineup.
Modbang runs on the last Tuesday of each month, doors at 7pm, free, 21+. The format is strict: no laptops, no DJs, only live hardware. Sequencers, modular synths, drum machines, and analog gear are the point. Each show features four or five performers with live visuals by MAGIC EY3 and B. Alcala Roth.
